MMS Settings

You must have a connection to the GPRS network set-up on your phone to benefit from the advantages of MMS. This connection uses what is referred to as an access point or APN (Access Point Name). ACN has made it simple and easy for you to receive APN details at the cost of just one SMS message. All you have to do is follow the instructions below.

Getting your settings

Step 1
Check whether your phone supports MMS and GPRS. Refer to your phone manufacturer’s user guide for details.

Step 2
Obtain the correct code for your handset. Click here to find your phone and model number in the attached list and note the corresponding code.

Step 3
Send an SMS to the short code phone number 667 with the following message:

MMS <Code>

For example, if you have a Nokia 6600 your message would be:

MMS N6600 



Step 4

You should shortly receive a configuration SMS message with your settings. All you have to do is open this message and save the settings. You may be prompted by your handset to answer ‘Yes’ to save these as the default settings.

Step 5
You should now be set up correctly to send MMS messages. Watch our MMS demo to show you how MMS can enhance your messaging.

What to do if something goes wrong?
There are two possible messages that you will receive if there is an error when you request the settings by SMS. If your phone is not supported by our system you will receive the following SMS message:

Ukendt model. Opsæt din telfon ved at skrive en SMS med tekst: ”MMS mærkerModel” fx. MMS N6600 for en Nokia6600. Mærker: N = Nokia, SE = Ericsson/Sony Ericsson, SI = Siemens, SA = Samsung, PH = Philips, AL = Alcatel, MS = Microsoft, MO = Motorola, LG = LG, SG = Sagem

If you receive this message it means that the system didn’t recognize the model number you entered, or your phone is not supported. Please resend your message if your phone appears in our list. If your phone does not appear in our list, and your manufacturer’s user guide confirms that your phone does support MMS, please refer to the Manual Settings section below.

Manual Settings

You can also enter the required settings manually. Simply enter the details below for each setting in conjunction with the information provided in your phone’s user guide. Please be aware that different manufacturers use different names for the settings but the information detailed below should enable you to set-up your phone.

Manual MMS Settings
To set-up your phone for MMS, simply enter the following:

Connection Name: http://mms.telia.dk
Primary Proxy Server: 193.209.134.131, port 8080
Secondary Proxy Server:  leave empty
GPRS connection point: mmssp
User Name and Password: leave empty
